Hah ha ha..., a US$99 HD-DVD player shuts down a website. All probably because of a lot of disgruntled/conned/duped/pathe tic buyers who bought those expensive Blu-Ray's for sure.
Never expecting such a big downturn in price for this said HD player, felt betrayed that this bargain player can beat and is comparable to their expensive ones.
Also the thing that really bugs these stupid tech-geek jerk-offs is that there
really is no difference between this two formats ...
Think of the price ladies and gentlemen, it's all about the price.
Everybody knows it's a steal for a HD-DVD player and with a good branded ( Toshiba ) player.
Has the same visual experience to more comparable expensive counterparts.
With the rest of the money you save, you can buy some decent HD-DVD movies, snacks and put all the rest back to your bank account!
Get smart and even.
Gotta love this article, and a very big laugh-out-loud to all those who where easily decieved by buying those atrociously expensive HD-DVD and Blu-Ray players.
Add to that, all those conceited techno-geeks warring over which is better between the two formats. Don't trust these pretentious ignorant mongrels.
Hah ha ha hah... you were all duped.
All conned by the Movie moguls. There really is no difference between the two ( that is only if your going to buy anyt...
Those pathetic gullible people who bought their HD-DVD, Blu-Ray players for a thousand bucks or more are just jealous others got it for a bargain.
They thought a price-cut would'nt happen this quickly so they can show-off their valuable players to friends and family alike...
Hah ha to you all!!! Envious freaks!
In the end when you put-off the lights and watch your favorite movies they are comparably the same ( visually ) to their expensive counterparts.
...
Could'nt believe it... That's already (2) years now ever since the PS3 has been out on the market and still the games and "new" ones are very much coming-in by the trickle.
That is just way too slow for a next-gen console to prepare everything in place for gamers out there.
By the time it finally recovers, their competitors would have been ( silently testing ) or making their next-gen consoles...
(10) year lifespan for the PS3 is simply wrong at this ti...
Price is still very much the main factor why the PS3 is'nt selling here in Australia.
AU$699.00 = US$643.00 in some shops while others charge AU$649.00 = US$597.00 for the 40gb stand alone console without ps2 backwards compatibility.
Still way too high.
Games are slowly coming-in while a few "new" ones are still being delayed.
It's fast approaching the holiday season and Sony has'nt come-out with any good Christmas to New Year's deals ( bu...
We had one being previewed at the Sydney Motor show just last month - a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO ( latest version ) using the Forza2 as the game basis.
Kids and adults were just lining-up to get a taste of what it would be
like to actually be driving behind the wheel of a real car, but looking-out
of a big plasma/lcd race track.
Cool!
But it sure must be really expensive to maintain one. Dings and scratches
would surely be a daily occurance. ...
Convincingly realistic in a CGI sort of way. Nice editing, really classy.
It's even got some new-tech gas discharge headlamps and a set of large diameter wheels for that low-rider effect. Cool!
It'll just get better with the next PS4, XBox720 and Nintendo XII consoles and add your new-gen power-packed PC.
Not here in Australia though. Nothings changed, still the same high-priced slow downturn of "new" games console which is the PS3.
Price-cut? From AU$999.00 to AU$799.00 and presently AU$699.00 = US$646.00 ( for the 40gb no PS2 game backwards playability feature ). Better to call it a "FALSE" sense of reduction in costs'.
Guess we'll have to wait here till next year for Sony to give us what we want.
Corporate Mongrels these Sony Bastards!
We all know what that means, another price drop for the PS3 console will follow suit...
Certainly not me... Just keep them battling on, so we could get more discounts.
It's to each's own vested interests' I say.
Too bad for those who bought their HD-DVD, Blu-Ray players when they used to charge them in the price range of US$1,000.00 or more bucks.
Hah ha on you all!
Too gullible!
1080p,1080i - who cares? Can't tell the difference.
Price is all that matters, especially if it's at a bargain.
The Sony PS3 will never { ever } gain momentum in Australia if they don't offer us gamers' a "proper" price-cut and better deals ( bundles included ).
AU$699.00 ( US$642.00 ) for the standard w/out PS2 backwards playability 40gb PS3 console alone - tax, shipment, PAL conversion and all - is still way too much!!!
Games are still coming by the trickle and some being delayed.
Think we'ved given the PS3 enough time to deliver us the goods, seems it...
Hah ha... Gullible 1080p, 1080i cynicists who cares? Can't really see the difference, what I see clearly is the huge price difference.
Yeah sure...
Awesome game and very innovative. Love the fantastic weather "physics" effect and those flowing "new" racetracks.
And the motobikes are really addictive to play as well.
Best PGR Series ever!
... And another thing, if the PS3 console would have a lifespan of (10) years surely by then it'll just cost a whopping US$100.00 or even less
